What is a succulent ?
A succulent is a plant that has tissue that can store water, thanks to which it can live for long periods in the absence of rain and other types of water supply.
The succulence has developed in over ten thousand different species, belonging to the most diverse botanical families, originating in the most diverse places on Earth.
There are three types of succulent plants: leaf succulents, stem succulents and caudiciforms. The succulence of the leaves is linked to environments with a short dry season.
